(…Walking in light, love and wisdom).
I congratulate all Youth on the celebration of this year’s week. As spelt out by the theme, we should review once more the following: reasons for our existence; why we are Christians (Christ-like); our role and contribution to the kingdom project; and God’s expectations. Let us remind ourselves of some few things.
1Peter 2:11 describes us as sojourners and pilgrims. In preceding verse 10, we were qualified as God’s people who have obtained mercy. Invariably, it can be adapted we are an official envoy, a high ranking diplomat (Royal Priesthood) appointed and accredited to represent him here on earth on a special and temporal diplomatic assignment.
As Ambassadors, Ephesians 5:1 admonishes we as imitators of Christ should walk in love, also in the following verse are list of DO NOT; things we cannot partake in.
Subsequently, we are to walk as children of light by finding what is acceptable of the lord through exhibiting the fruits of the spirit (as stated in Galatians 5:22) in all goodness, righteousness, and truth. As light, we are to expose every unfruitful work of darkness here on earth.
Moreover, we are to walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise (Ephesians 5:15) at every point we should find out what, and understand the will of the lord.
Finally, we are to be filled with the spirit, speaking one to another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with melody from our heart, giving thanks for all he (The Lord) done, all he’ll do in the name of Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God.I wish you all a Happy Youth Week. Let us continue to walk in love, light and wisdom. We are God’s AMBASSADORS.
Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them.
